Sick Visits

Call our office at (203) 221-7337 to schedule same day sick child appointments.

We make every effort to schedule appointments for acutely ill children on the day that you call us. If you are calling about a chronic condition, you may be asked to schedule an appointment with your regular pediatrician when they are available.

If you would like us to see more than one child, please schedule both of them when you make your appointment.  Without an appointment, we may not be able to see a sick sibling right away, and you may be asked to wait while the pediatrician sees a waiting scheduled patient.

Except for our 8:30-9 am walk-in time, we cannot typically accomodate same day walk ins; if you have an urgent issue, please call  our office ahead of time so that we can minimize the time that you will spend waiting. If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to the appropriate facility.

Walk-In Time

As a convenience to established Village Pediatric Families, we have a walk-in time from 8:30-9 am every weekday. These visits should be for simple, acute issues that can be quickly assessed, diagnosed and treated, prior to the start of school/work. No appointment or advance call to the physicians is needed. There are no walk-ins on weekends, holidays, or after 9 am; please call the office to make an appointment.

In order to run our walk-ins efficiently, and minimize wait time, we ask you to follow our 1-2-3 guideline:

only 1 problem/illness
no longer than 2ish days- ACUTE PROBLEMS ONLY
for children over 3 months of age
(to limit infant exposures to illness)

If your child does not meet these criteria, please call for a regular appointment. All acutely ill children are able to get a same-day appointment.

Please note: New patients cannot have their first visit be a walk-in appointment. We would like to spend a little extra time with you so please call the office to schedule an appointment.
