Carol Nicole "Nikki" Gorman MD

"Dr. Nikki"

Born and raised in sunny southern California, I have grown to love the East Coast with its beautiful fall and family friendly lifestyle. I moved to Westport in 2001 and have been very happy raising three children in such a vibrant community.

The University of Pennsylvania first drew me east. At Penn for undergraduate studies, I graduated cum laude with a double major in English and Biology. After college, I worked for one year at a home for children who were removed from their families in North Carolina. Having fallen in love with North Carolina, where my mother was born and raised, I decided to attend Duke University Medical School (Go Blue Devils!) and my passion for basketball was started.

For my training, I decided to venture to Northern California, where I became a pediatric resident at The Stanford University's Children's Hospital - Lucile Packard Hospital for Children. After three great years in the Bay area I returned to NYC  where I practiced pediatrics for five years as a member of the Cornell Medical College Faculty Practice. After moving to Connecticut to raise my family, I eventually joined Children's Health Services in Weston, CT. I met Dr. Jenn when it became clear we needed another physician for our rapidly growing practice. We have been practicing together for over 10 years now. Dr. Jenn and I moved the practice to Westport at the end of 2009, beginning Village Pediatrics.

I feel lucky to have the privilege of taking care of so many wonderful, interesting families here at Village Pediatrics! I love caring for twins/multiples (fascination since childhood) and enjoy educating parents about the joys and blessings of twinship. I am also well-versed in ADHD, it's management and parenting challenges associated with it. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my kids, cheering at basketball and soccer games, being a girl scout leader, hiking, biking, reading and traveling. Best vacation ever was Costa Rica and in my fantasies, I’m riding a horse to work and wearing shorts 365 days/year. Village Pediatrics is my dream...a small practice where you know your patients and they know you. I am committed to its success!
