Originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, I moved to New York City to pursue my residency in Pediatrics through Weill Cornell College of Medicine following which I relocated to the mid-west to pursue my three-year fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Mercy Hospital at University of Missouri, Kansas City. I then stayed in Missouri and practiced both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology for 5 years before moving back to the New York area in 2022 (it was about time!). I am delighted to have joined Village Pediatrics to continue to pursue my passion for General Pediatrics- the team here is outstanding! I also hold a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from George Washington University in D.C. and enjoy administrative aspects of healthcare as well.
I currently live in North Salem, NY, and enjoy traveling and running with and spoiling my angelic 3-year-old old Doberman Pinscher named Sir Commodore Victor Risal (fun fact- he was recently named the prom king at daycare while his date Chelsea (another Doberman) was named the prom queen). I also enjoy designing landscapes and working in the yard.
